Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using The Neural Network ("Service") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and anyone else who accesses the Service.

2. What the Service Is

The Neural Network is an independent sports analytics platform. We cover MLB, NBA, NFL, soccer, and golf with:

• Live and historical scores, schedules, standings, and team / player pages.
• AI-generated player performance predictions ("AI picks").
• Display of publicly available DraftKings player-prop odds for informational purposes.
• A community chat and an optional account system with saved picks and badges.

The Service is informational. We do not accept wagers, hold customer funds, or facilitate any form of gambling.

3. Eligibility & Age

The Service is not directed at children under 13 and we will not knowingly create an account for anyone under 13.

Because the Service displays sportsbook odds and is widely used by people researching betting markets, we recommend the Service for users 18 and older. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any wagers you place outside the Service (e.g. with a licensed sportsbook) comply with the gambling laws of your state or country, including any minimum-age requirements (commonly 21+ in the United States).

4. User Accounts

4.1 Registration

Account creation requires a valid email, a username, and a password. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.

4.2 Email Verification

New accounts must verify their email address before signing in. Verification links expire after 24 hours; you can request a fresh one at any time.

4.3 Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, abuses other users, or attempts to disrupt the Service. You may delete your own account at any time by emailing the address at the bottom of this page (a self-service deletion flow is planned but not yet shipped).

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law (including gambling laws in your jurisdiction).
• Infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• Post or transmit harmful, threatening, harassing, or knowingly false content in the community chat.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' accounts, or our infrastructure.
• Scrape, mirror, or republish the Service or its data for commercial purposes without our written permission.
• Use the Service to deceive or defraud other users, including by impersonating real people.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or circumvent any security feature.

6. AI Picks, Odds, and Predictions — Important Disclaimer

• Sportsbook odds shown on the Service are sourced from publicly available data feeds and may be delayed, incomplete, or out of date relative to live sportsbook prices. Always verify current odds with the sportsbook before acting on them.
• Any parlay or combined-odds estimates we display assume independent legs and will typically overstate what a real sportsbook will pay for correlated same-game combinations.
• You are solely responsible for any financial or wagering decisions you make based on information shown on the Service.
• We are not a sportsbook, broker, advisor, or fiduciary. We do not accept money, hold funds, or facilitate wagers.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our content

The Service's code, layout, AI prompts, accuracy methodology, and other original content are owned by The Neural Network and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 Third-party content

Sports data, statistics, scores, player and team names, and sportsbook odds are sourced from third parties and remain the property of their respective owners. Their use on the Service is descriptive and editorial under nominative fair use.

7.3 Trademark disclaimer

The Neural Network is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, the National Football League, the PGA Tour, FIFA, DraftKings, or any of their respective teams or member organizations. All league names, team names, and player names are property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.

7.4 Your content

When you post content to the Service (e.g. a chat message), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content as necessary to operate the Service. You retain ownership of what you post.

8. Service Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, accuracy of any data, or that defects will be fixed. Scheduled maintenance, third-party data outages, and changes to upstream APIs (MLB, NBA, NFL, odds providers, OpenAI) can and do affect the Service from time to time.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE NEURAL NETWORK AND ITS OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOST PROFITS, LOST WAGERS, LOST OPPORTUNITY, OR LOST DATA — ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE WERE ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED $100 USD.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Neural Network from any claim, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right or applicable law.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on and may link to third-party services (sportsbooks, sports data providers, OpenAI, etc.). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties.

12. Modifications to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Features described today may change or disappear tomorrow.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Your State], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [Your County, Your State], and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
